What is bauplus® Penetrat®?
Penetrat® is a mineral-based sealing system that penetrates deep into the building structure and permanently seals capillaries and pores through crystalline reactions. Unlike conventional surface barriers, Penetrat® works deep within the masonry. Developed by bauplus® and manufactured in Switzerland, the system is a true quality product backed by decades of practical experience.
Technical Function – Interior Sealing, Permanent and Economical
The Penetrat® system is based on a mixture of cement, quartz sand, and Penetrat® concentrate. It is applied in three coats, each 24 hours apart. After removing the old plaster and thoroughly cleaning the surface, the Penetrat® slurry is applied. The moisture present in the masonry triggers a crystalline reaction: The slurry penetrates the pores and capillaries, gels, and crystallizes there. This permanently seals the capillaries, keeping the masonry dry.
Unlike conventional sealing slurries, this system creates not just a surface layer, but a deep-penetrating, permanent seal that can withstand mechanical stress.
