bauplus® PE-Stop 401 Hydrophobic Coating
Invisible hydrophobic coating for masonry and concrete
Moisture, frost damage, and soiling? PE-Stop 401 provides lasting and invisible protection.
Rainwater and moisture penetrate any masonry exposed to the elements. In winter, this can lead to frost damage, and in summer to staining and increased soiling. With PE-Stop 401 from bauplus®, you get a colorless, invisible, siloxane-based water repellent treatment – for lasting protection without any visual alteration.
What is bauplus® PE-Stop 401?
PE-Stop 401 is a siloxane-based hydrophobic coating developed and produced by bauplus®. The active ingredients penetrate the uppermost capillaries of the substrate and transform into a silicone resin. This provides lasting protection against moisture – without visible changes, without a surface film, and without impairing the breathability of the building material.
Technical Function – Invisible Long-Term Protection
- No surface film: The hydrophobic coating remains 100% color-neutral; the surface appearance is unaffected.
- Capillary protection: Siloxanes penetrate deep into the capillaries and form a water-repellent silicone resin.
- Protection against frost and moisture: Prevents frost damage and moisture damage.
- Reduced soiling: Pollutants and dirt are repelled, and the facade remains durable and clean for longer.
- Resistant even to continuous water exposure: Particularly effective for exposed concrete swimming pools.
